The Parish came together as a result of the consolidation of four small mission churches located throughout Central Baldwin County. The four churhes were: St. Gabriel in Summerdale, St. Raphael in Loxley, St. Matthew in Elsanor and Infant Jesus of Prague in Silverhill. The new St. Patrick's Church was dedicated May 20, 1974 and the four mission churches were closed. St. Patrick School opened its doors to meet the needs of quality, Catholic education in the community in 1979. In 1988 the St. Patrick Catholic Center was built fo use by the Parish and surrounding community. Today St. Patrick Parish serves over 400 Catholic families and 200 school children in the Central Baldwin area.
